::Take the good with the bad

I went to the movies for the first time in about five years. The prices reminded me why. It turns out it was totally worth it. 'The Corpse Bride' was a really good movie!
I had a lot of fun today just hanging out with mom. Days like this makes it hard to remember why we fight so much. No need to worry. I'm sure we'll remember real soon!
We visited Pam (a family friend) in the hospital today. This just helped comfirm the fact that I will never be a doctor for two reasons:
1. I hate the sight of blood or anything that might cause blood to appear
2. I absolutley cannont stand people in pain!
She has blood clots in her bladder. I'm not sure how they get there other than the fact that they seem to be embolisms (traveling blood clots). They cause her a lot of pain and may make her have to to get surgery to have her bladder removed.
She had a few blood clots get stuck while we were visiting with her. I went to the bathroom and the next thing I know she's moaning and crying and in intense pain. I started crying and didn't stop until a little while after we left about 30 or more minutes later.
I'm worried she'll die. If they travl to her bladder what's to stop them from traveling to her heart and killing her? She's so kind and she dosn't deserve it at all.
I'm siting here crying trying to make sense of it. She promised me she'd be ok. Life doesn't work that way though. Just because you say it doesn't make it true. In fact, it often seems to have the opposite effect, instead making things worse for the sick twisted humor of the Universe.
I wish I could have more faith and be strong for her sake. She needs that right now.
I wish I wasn't so selfish and could actually offer her that....
